Tarta de Santiago is my special favorite.
It is a cake made from almonds.
In Mallorca, Gateau Almendra is more popular, but I like this Tarta de Santiago better.
I feel the taste of Tarta de Santiago is milder than the one of Gateau Almendra.
The materials of both are not different so much,but it may be because there used more eggs in Tarta de Santiago.I have no idea so far.
In Santiago where this cake was born, they drink brown strong liquor,called CHUPITO with this cake. |
